I have a 1000 NETBOOK Asus EEA, and while the owner of the linux OS covers most of my needs, I 'd like to change to Ubuntu Netbook Remix. What would be the easiest way to change the OS, given that my EEA doesn 't have an optical drive? Should I just load it on a USB key? (Please include any link to the classes if available.)

Yes, you can use a USB key, and UNetBootIn is probably the easiest way to “burn” an .iso to a USB key.
