MSI Wind U100 OS X Leopard Walk-thru (watch in High Quality)

c130bulldawg asked:

This video gives a glimpse of a potential MacBook nano NETBOOK if Apple decided to create one. Thanks to the people in the forums dawt network of MSIWind for the help in creating a U100 which works in leopard. I am thoroughly satisfied with my NETBOOK lightweight project that allows access to Internet and email without having to drag around a laptop filled with Starbucks or Panera.

I am getting 4 hours if I am watching videos and surfing the Web. I am in the process of updating to 10.5.7 and I have read that there will be a 20+% bump in battery run time.

I use screenflow by telestream. I think most of the Mac people use this for their recording.

    Cheers.

Great Vid tutorial. How did you record this vid tutorial? I’d love to be able to do one with my P5BVM Mobo. Was it iChat and theatre?

Ah, thank you :] I was worried about the resolution problem. I installed mac on my gateway, and if I switch the resolution lower than 1280×600 it closes.

It is great little Mac clone for $300. Cheaper if you can do without the bluetooth. Hopefully you can afford one soon.

    Cheers.

I couldn’t post a link in the comments so I sent you an e-mail with the links and instructions. The fix is a script that ports the audio from the speakers to the HP jack then back again. If anyone else reading needs the fix, I can e-mail it to your through YouTube.

There are 500gb 5400rpm western digital scorpio BLUE series right now. If I were you, I’d wait for the 500gb 7200rpm BLACK series. The difference between black and blue series is: Even if the black series rotates at 7200rpm, it consumes the same amount of battery with the 5400rpm blue series. And I tested it myself, my battery life stayed the same after I upgraded to 7200rpm 320gb.
